this is an original mixed media piece of artwork (not a copy or a print) and is signed and dated on the back by the artist. the canvas is protected with a permanent, protective coating which protects against fading caused by harmful UV light rays and a final finish coat. the sides are painted to match and the staple backed canvas is ready to hang. 

my process includes layering paper, texture, ink and paint on stretched canvas. i rip the papers to create a surface with rough edges and lines because i love imperfection and grit. i build layers of rough texture on top and finish with a bold mix of color.
